As a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls, I do budgeting at home. My husband works, so do I (as a part-time store crew member) to feed a family of four a week is challenging. That’s why I became conservative on spending money, my husband Tim is so happy that shopping is not my weakness. I’ll be happy to go to Walmart to find clearance sale or go to GoodWill store to find the good deal on clothes, shoes or home decorations. Everytime I post something about tips on saving money, it will go under here.
- I go to Kroger subsiadiary grocery store Food4Less
- or Hy-Vee,
- Walmart to compare other stores’ sale ads
Food4Less and Hy-Vee start their weekly sale every Tuesday until Monday, we get the Ad every Wednesday in the mail,so I usually do my grocery shopping trip every Thursday, if something comes up or let’s say we still have enough food and grocery shopping can be done on Friday! I make sure I’ve seen all ads and double check my grocery list to see what items we need and what are the good deals. I categorize my list to save time going to store based on aisle by aisle.
My number one tip on grocery shopping:
- PLAN.PLAN.PLAN your weekly menu based on weekly sale ads. I learned this tip from America’s Cheapest Family and it works and it’s a winner. Promise!
